The 3-day Sahara Desert trip from Fes begins with an early pickup from your hotel or the airport. Next, we head south via Imouzzer to Ifrane. It’s known for its frigid temperatures, snowfall, and chalet-style homes. No surprise, it’s dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco. Next, we head into the Cedars Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. Later, we will travel to Midelt, where lunch will be provided. After that, we drive via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River to reach the Sahara Desert.

We arrive at Merzouga, the Sahara Desert, in the afternoon. You will traverse the sandy desert on camels instead. We’ll pause so you can stand on a tall dune and take in the breathtaking sunset. Go to the opulent desert tent. Dance around the bonfire under a vast, starry sky. Listen to the Berber drums. Have dinner and spend the night in the camp.

Our next stop is the village of Khamlia, where you may take in performances of Gnaoua music and dance. The people trace their origins to sub-Saharan nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger.
