Itinerary of 4 days Tour from Agadir

Our driver guide will meet you in Agadir, at the airport or your hotel, to start your four-day desert trip to Marrakech. From the sunny southwest, you will cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains. This will leave the Atlantic Coast behind. Some places you’ll pass through have great artisanal and natural products. Taliouine is Morocco’s saffron center. Taznakht has some of the finest hand-woven rugs from that region. You’ll next arrive in the Draa Valley, which spans from Agdz to the distant sands of the Sahara. You will spend the night in Agdz, including dinner and breakfast.

Today, after breakfast, we’ll start our 4-day vacation. We’ll travel east from Agadir to Marrakech over the Sahara. We’ll cross vast landscapes and kasbah-filled towns to Rissani. It’s the last place for desert residents to shop. As you enter the Sahara, the route curves south, and you will begin to see red dunes. Your camels will be waiting for you in the small village of Merzouga. Once ready, you will ride a camel across the dunes to your desert camp. There, you will spend the night and have dinner and breakfast.

The third day of your 4-day Sahara tour departs from Agadir. A camp team will wake you early to see a desert dawn. They can be breathtaking and unforgettable. After breakfast, you take the camels back to meet your driver. Heading north, you leave the desert dunes. You walk through palm groves with hidden kasbahs and adobe communities. A variety of scenery leads you to Tinghir. Take a detour up to the 300-meter-high Todra Gorge. Crystal-clear rivers split the mountain. They create a stunning oasis. It now serves as a playground for international rock climbers.

Returning to town, you reach the Dades Valley. Then, you detour to Boumalne Dades. This time, you go up into the Dades Gorge. Here, you can marvel at nature’s work. Erosion has created strange rock formations called monkey fingers. You’ll travel through the Rose Valley, down the valley. It is a rich area that grows pink Damascus roses for their oils and scents. The trip continues to Skoura, a vast palm grove with many kasbahs. Then, it arrives in Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, you can tour one of the major Kasbahs and the cinema studios. They call Ouarzazate the “Hollywood of Africa.” It’s due to its many blockbuster films. Next, you’ll explore Ait Benhaddou, a castle. Vast landscapes and a caravan route surround it, carrying salt to Timbuktu. Filmmakers have shot many films, including Gladiator, here.

You will then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, at 2260 metres. This is Morocco’s highest drivable pass. From there, you weave down through Berber towns and farms. Age-old traditions persist there. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Marrakech’s ancient medina. We will drop you off at your accommodation, and our 4-day Agadir Desert tour will come to an end.
