Following that, we leave Medina to explore “the Mellah,” the Jewish neighborhood. We take a drive to an old fortification in the afternoon to get a broad perspective of Fes and the Medina. Lastly, return to your riad.

Following a delicious breakfast, we travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses. Then you swap to camels to cross the dusty desert. You are going to stop on top of a high dune to watch the sunset. Finally, you head to the desert camp. The camp combines nomad tents with hotel-like facilities. Where you may listen to Berber drum music and dance around a campfire under a starry sky. Dinner and stay at the campsite.

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We spend the day touring the Merzouga region.
