Itinerary of 3 Days Tour from Ouarzazate to Fes
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Merzouga Sahara – Desert Camp
We will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Ouarzazate early in the morning. First, we will explore the city, visiting the famous Atlas Studio, where many blockbuster films have been shot, as well as the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Next, we head southeast to visit Amridil Kasbah in Skoura, surrounded by beautiful palm groves. Afterward, we continue to Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival every May. Locals sell their rose products like perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics.
We then travel through the Dades Valley and stop at a viewpoint to witness the majestic Dades Gorges. Continuing our journey, we will visit Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved a breathtaking canyon through the mountains, forming steep red cliffs. After a free lunch break, we will reach the Merzouga Sahara Desert.
Begin your camel ride across the golden sands of the Sahara. We’ll stop at the top of a high dune to admire the stunning sunset. Afterwards, we proceed to our luxury desert camp in Erg Chebbi, where you can experience Berber music around the campfire and sleep under the starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the desert camp.
Day 2: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedars Forest – Ifrane – Fes
On the second day of your Ouarzazate to Fes desert tour, wake up early to witness the sunrise in the middle of the desert. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga where your driver awaits.
We then head to Rissani, an ancient capital known for its bustling souk, especially on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring Rissani's market, we will continue to Erfoud, where you’ll visit a fossilized marble workshop.
Following our visit to Erfoud, we will travel along the Ziz River, stopping for magnificent views of the Ziz Valley. We’ll arrive in Midelt for lunch before continuing our journey through the cedar forest near Azrou, where you might encounter the famous Barbary macaques.
Our final stop for the day will be Ifrane, often referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco" due to its alpine-style architecture and snow-capped mountains. The tour concludes with your drop-off at either the airport or your hotel in Fes.
Day 3: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedars Forest – Ifrane – Fes
On the third and final day of your tour, you’ll enjoy another beautiful desert sunrise before riding camels back to Merzouga for breakfast.
We continue our journey by visiting the famous Rissani Souk for some shopping before heading towards Erfoud for a visit to its renowned fossil workshops. Our trip continues through the scenic Ziz Valley, with spectacular views of the river and valley before reaching Midelt for lunch.
After lunch, we head to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can feed and observe the playful Barbary macaques.
Our final destination is Ifrane, often called "Morocco’s Switzerland", where you’ll experience its cool alpine climate and enjoy walking through its charming streets before heading to Fes for the conclusion of your tour.
