16-Days Tour from Casablanca Itinerary:

Day 1 :Arrival to Casablanca

Arrive at the Casablanca airport. Meeting with the driver, then travel to your hotel to unwind before we embark on a short sightseeing tour of the city. and Stay overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca-Rabat-Assilah-Tangier.

Have breakfast at your Casablanca hotel. Then, travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and one of its four imperial cities. Explore the Hassan Tower, an amazing but unfinished mosque from the Almohad dynasty. Next, visit the Udayas Kasbah. It has stunning views of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean.

Before lunch, visit the ancient ruins of Chellah. It was a Berber village. In the afternoon, head north to Tangier. Stop at the Medina of Asilah if time allows. Enjoy your overnight stay in Tangier.

Day 3 :Private guided tour of Tangier

Following breakfast, we will go on a private sightseeing tour of Tangier with a native guide. Start with a visit to the Colline de Bella-Vista for a view. Then, explore the Grand Succo, which links the modern city and the medina. Our guide will take you to the Kasbah Museum, located in the Dar El-Makhzen Palace within the medina. This museum is one of Tangier’s most important landmarks, displaying Mediterranean civilizations.

Next, we’ll go to the Ibn Battuta Museum. This museum honors the legendary Moroccan explorer, Ibn Battuta. He traveled for over 29 years, covering over 100,000 km and visiting 38 countries.

In the afternoon, your driver and guide will take you to Cape Spartel to see Hercules Cave, 14 km west of Tangier. This natural wonder offers stunning views of the Atlantic and Morocco’s coast. It has interesting rock formations and ancient carvings.

Day 4: Tangier-Tetouen-Chefchaouen.

We’ll leave Tangier and drive 2.5 hours to Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City or Blue Pearl of Morocco. We’ll stop in Tetouan, one of Morocco’s most scenic towns, to tour its UNESCO-listed medina. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 5 :Chefchaouen Sightseeing tour with local guide

After breakfast, we will take a private tour of Chefchaouen with a local guide. We will visit the Kasbah and Uta el-Hammam Plaza, and walk through the lovely streets. If you enjoy hiking, you can go on a half-day journey to the Akchour waterfalls.

Later, we will enjoy a glimpse of the city from the mountaintop. You will have free time to explore and shop for yourself. In the afternoon, visit the Spanish Mosque for a sunset view. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes:

Rise and shine with a delicious breakfast at your Riad, as an interesting day awaits you. We start with a scenic drive through the charming Rif towns. We will admire the stunning Moroccan landscape. Then, we will arrive in Volubilis, a former Roman city.

You can explore the ruins of this historic city. You’ll learn about its intriguing history. Volubilis is famous for its third-century mosaics and public buildings. They are well-preserved. Walking around the remains gives you insight into the lives of the Romans who once lived here.After seeing the wonders of Volubilis, we head to Meknes. It was Morocco’s capital in the 17th century.

Have a delicious lunch in Meknes. Then, explore the ancient walled medina. Inside its walls is the Bab el Mansour gate. It is a masterpiece, with elaborate designs and exquisite carvings. Prepare to charm yourself with the artistry that surrounds you.

Our Morocco tour also takes us to the Moulay Ismail mausoleum. It is a sanctuary for the renowned Sultan Moulay Ismail.After a day of exploring Volubilis and Meknes, we head to stay Fes. A wonderful Riad awaits for a relaxing night’s stay.

Day 7: Guided Tour Sightseeing Fes:

On the seven day of your 16 Morocco desert tour from Casablanca, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel. After that, we planned to set aside the entire day to tour Fes’s highlights with a local guide. The city acts as Morocco’s cultural and religious center and people know it as one of the imperial cities.

First, we go to the Royal Palace gate to begin the day. Next is the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is beautifully preserved. You will go to the entrance of the ancient Medina, known as Bab Boujloud or the Blue Gate.

You will enter the Medina to see the tanneries, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Medrasa Bouanania. And lastly, the oldest university in the world, the Quaraouin Mosque and university.

Following that, we leave Medina to explore “the Mellah,” the Jewish neighborhood. We take a drive to an old fortification in the afternoon to get a broad perspective of Fes and the Medina. Lastly, return to your riad.

Day 8: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara:

Following a delicious breakfast, we travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses. It’s no surprise that it’s known as Morocco’s Switzerland. Then we visit the cedar forest, where Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them while walking through the forest.

Later, we will continue to Midelt, where we will have some free time for lunch. Then we drive to Merzouga via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and the Ziz Valley. We will make stops along the trip to enjoy panoramic landscapes. at the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga.

Then you swap to camels to cross the dusty desert. You are going to stop on top of a high dune to watch the sunset. Finally, you head to the desert camp. The camp combines nomad tents with hotel-like facilities. Where you may listen to Berber drum music and dance around a campfire under a starry sky. Dinner and stay at the campsite.

Day 9 : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi – palm grove:

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We spend the day touring the Merzouga region.

The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and a fabulous oasis. Which are perfect locations for a variety of activities in the outdoors. First, we begin our excursion in Merzouga by driving off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine.

Then we pay a visit to the nomads’ handmade tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its residents are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant.

Following that, we take a stroll through a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingo Lake. Dinner and overnight At a hotel.

Day 10 : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:

After breakfast, we leave the desert to reach Rissani, Tafilalet’s old capital. Rissani is still a key trading center in the region. It has a busy souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After a tour around Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud. There, we will visit a fossilized marble workshop. We next drive via Touroug and Tinjdad palm farms to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has cut a magnificent canyon through the mountains. The canyon has steep, red cliffs. These gorges are perfect for rock climbing.

Feel free to walk through the gorges and enjoy the beauty of nature. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, traversing Boumalne Dades. The inevitable stop at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on top of a mountain, watching the Dades Valley. Finally, food and a night in a hotel.

Day 11: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will travel to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. The Rose Festival takes place in May. Locals sell a variety of rose products. These include perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. We then drive through the palm orchards of Skoura. Later, we arrive at Ouarzazate, also known as the Desert Gate.

We will visit film studios. They make amazing movies. Then, we will leave to see the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. UNESCO classified this walled village as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has appeared in various films, such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy. And TV shows like Game of Thrones. Then we travel to Marrakech.

Driving across Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. We will make stops for lunch and to take photographs at interesting locations. Stay overnight hotel in Marrakech or Riad.

Day 12: Guided Tour Sightseeing Marrakech:

After a hearty breakfast, we will see the highlights of Marrakech with a native guide. The city identified is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. The visit includes the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque. And a tour around Morocco’s largest traditional souk.

Free time for lunch in Jemaa El-Fna Square. Later, you’ll see the Koutoubia mosque. It’s the largest in Marrakech. You’ll also see the Majorelle Garden. Finally, get to your Riad / Hotel. Then Feel free to explore Jemaa El-Fna on your own.

Day 13 :Day-trip to the Atlas mountains:

We have several possibilities. Let’s take a day trip to the Ouzoud waterfall. It’s one of the highest waterfalls in North Africa. We’ll enjoy the area’s fresh air and scenery. The second alternative is to prepare for an adventure in the mountains. We’ll go on a trekking expedition through the Imlil Mountains.

We will have a local guide to help us explore the hamlet and get the most out of our tour. First, we can visit the museum at Toubkal National Park. Then, we can hike to the Imlil waterfall. It is one of the easiest climbs in the region.

Day 14 :Marrakech to Essaouira

We have free time in Marrakesh before a three-hour drive to Essaouira, our next stop. Upon arrival, we will tour the city’s “snow-white Medina.” It is a walled area on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

Essaouira attracts artists from around the world. They come to breathe the air of old Mogador, the pirate capital and largest harbor of its day. The walls, fishing port, and Medina make the city appealing. An overnight stay in Essaouira is a must.

Day 15 : Essaouira to Marrakech

After breakfast, you will have some free time in Essaouira. You can walk, take photos, relax at a cafe, or shop. Then we’ll head back to Marrakesh or Casablanca. It depends on when your flight departs.

Day 16 :Departure

On the final day of your 16-day trip from Casablanca, you’ll have free time to relax, explore, or shop for souvenirs. Then, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

An Unforgettable Moroccan Journey in 16 days

I recently took a 16-day tour starting in Casablanca, and it was unforgettable! The stunning Hassan II Mosque and Chefchaouen’s blue-washed streets were highlights.

The Thousand Kasbahs and the ancient sites of Meknes and Volubilis fes were amazing. I especially loved the beautiful Al Attarine Madrasa in Fes. Each city in Morocco offers its unique charm and history. Highly recommended!
