The Itinerary of 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga
Day 1: Marrakech (red city) – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley:
Start your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with a simple pickup from your Riad or Hotel. As we leave Marrakech. Then will travel over the wonderful High Atlas Mountains via the beautiful Tizi-N-Tichka Pas. Along your trip, your professional guide and driver will make stops at beautiful places, and you are free to request stops at your own pace.
After enjoying a delicious lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, our trip will take us to the Dades Gorge, passing via the interesting Skoura and the beautiful Rose Valley. In Skoura’s verdant oasis, you may see the impressive Amridil Kasbah, a great fortified settlement. For those going in the spring, we can make special stops to see the valley decorated with a stunning display of roses in full bloom. When you arrive at Dades Gorge, prepare to be impressed by the beautiful rock formations known as “monkey fingers,” while also enjoying a panoramic view of the awesome Gorge. Finally, we’ll head to your hotel for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay hotel or riad.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (Sahara desert):
Begin your second day with a delicious breakfast at your Riad in the Dades Valley. We will next travel to Tinghir, where you will be able to enjoy a beautiful oasis and historical kasbahs that before housed Berber and Jewish communities side by side. Before heading to the Sahara Desert, you’ll be able to spend time beneath the enormous 300-meter cliffs of the Todra Gorge.
We will stop for an excellent meal en route, and when we arrive at Merzouga Erg Chebbi desert, your camel guide and our camels will be ready to guide you across Erg Chebbi’s beautiful dunes to your desert tent. On the route, you will stop at a high dune to enjoy a wonderful sunset while experiencing sandboarding activity. As the sun sets, our camp staff will prepare a delicious dinner and entertain you with amazing Berber drum performances around a campfire under a starry night sky.
