The 6-day Morocco desert tour begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your hotel in Marrakech. Then, drive across the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. We will Stop for panoramic views of the beautiful scenery. Then we visit Telouat's Kasbah. Following that, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A protected settlement designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah has appeared in various movies, such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy. After breakfast, we will continue by visiting the Atlas Studio. Its role in famous films and the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is well known. Next, go southeast to Skoura. Visit Amridil Kasbah, with palm groves surrounding it. Then continue to Rose Valley. Every May, locals hold a Rose Festival. They sell their rose products there. These include perfumes, rose water, argan oil, and cosmetics. Then we travel through the Dades Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to take in the amazing view of the Dades Gorges. Then we will go to Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a spectacular canyon through the mountains. This made a steep red cliff-side gorge. Free time for lunch. Feel free to walk through the gorges and enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. You switch to camel ride to cross the sandy desert. Take a moment to admire the beautiful sunset from the top of a high dune. Then go to the desert luxury camp. Here, you can listen to Berber drum music. You can dance around the campfire under the huge open sky of stars. Dinner and stay at the campsite.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region. The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and a fabulous oasis. Which are perfect locations for a variety of activities outdoors. First, we begin our trip in Merzouga by driving off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their hand-woven tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. The people who live there are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a local restaurant. Following that, we take an excursion through a palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, commonly known as Flamingo Lake. Dinner and overnight At a hotel.
After breakfast, we leave the desert to reach Rissani, Tafilalet's old capital. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a tour around Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud and visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. Following that, we travel towards the Ziz River, stopping for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. In Midelt, you have free time for lunch. Then we travel to the cedar forest, where the Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while strolling through the forest. After that, we will visit Ifrane city. Ifrane is well-known for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style homes, earning it the nickname 'Morocco's Switzerland.' Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel.
We will pick you up from your Fes lodging after breakfast to explore the city. It is Morocco's cultural and religious center. It is also one of its imperial cities. We begin the day by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. Then there's the well-preserved medieval Medina. The authorities have named the UNESCO World Heritage site. The Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, marks the entrance to the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. You should visit the Medrasa Bouanania and the Najjarine Fountain. Then, go to the Tanneries. Finally, visit the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the world's oldest university. Following that, we leave the Medina to explore the Jewish district known as "the Mellah". Then we drive to a historic fortress with magnificent views of the Medina and Fes. Then return to the riad.
